How time flies..........................since I was on here last. I am so sorry not kept this up to dat I have had an awful year and believe it or not im still in bandages on my ankle I had eventually to get the metal work out of my ankle as I was allergic to it and some of it had broken. I was then allergic to alot of my dressings it has been a nightmare but this week I see a light at the end of the tunnel to being bandage and hospital visits free!!! My grandson is almost standing up on his own and he is wonderful and has kept me going this last year. I have been crafting and still run the "Our Craft Club" in Nairn at the Rosebank Church Hall on a Tuesday Evening. Thankyou to all on your comments. I will get back into the challenges soon xx

Well we are delighted to announce that our first grandchild has arrived he is Connor Colin Matheson he weighed 8lb13oz and he is in my eyes gorgous. He was born at 12.49pm and I got cuddles last night I do have photos but couldnt get them posted on here but will try again in a wee while

Hi folks, well Im on the mend i think I finally am getting physio which tends to cause pain but then it goes just in time for the next one.
I have really go back into crafting although not joining into competitions but it has really given me a boost to get going with new things at our craft club in Nairn.
I have more crafting for me to do so Im off to do it.

My sons fiancee was 18 on valentines day so this was our card to her I was at my friend Kims when I made this. Its good to craft with friends.

The next 4 photos are of a baby book for our new nephew which I made with the bind it all my favourite machine. There is acetate on the frame for a photo to go into it.
I am delighted with this as i had all the card that went with each other perfectly.

This is also Deannas work her brothers engagement card she enjoys making the spring cards.

Deanna my daughter made this card at craft club in Nairn the dragon flies are peeloffs then you add some more onto parchment and paint them to match then 3d the wings she made a lovely job of this one

This is also from the "Heart of Craft" shop swap which is through facebook Im just waiting for the one Im getting back, the frames are nellies which I got from cutting edge crafts.

My son and his fiancees engagement card the brads have their first initial on them, the purple paper i embossed with the fiskars emboss boards which go through the big shot machince nicely

This was a dancing card swap I took part in it was also the first time I had done and easel card.

I am so sorry it has been along time since I have been on here, poor blog has been neglected for the last couple of months, no real reason until I broke my ankle badly and now Im layed up. To those who know about this sorry i will just type this out of my head.
I was walking Brin our dog on the rockies beach which is exactly what it says and yes I slipped I didnt fall but my ankle went snap. mmmmmmmmmm nice, it wasnt sore but i shouted my mum sat down the screamed for no real reason other than I was panicing at the thought of what the ambulance and doctors would have to do to me. The ambulance took a very long time to get me they were 24 miles away from where they should have been Nairn has a very large population and yet we only have 1 ambulance which wasnt where it should have been. Being a first aider I new not to move it, no one asked if the tide was coming in or if being on the beach I was in danger. I was getting colder by the minute and my hubby got to me from 17 miles away just as the ambulance did and Iheard him coming he was so annoyed with them. The doc gave me morphine 2 lots, and i was given gas and air the found i had broken it in 3 places and a dislocation so once they got me comfy and up to the ward they found that the morphine hadnt gone into my vane anyway I have rambled on a bit and i appologise but it was traumatic so far i have had 6 casts on because of swelling i was in hospital for a week.

Where has September gone I seemed to blink my eyes and October is here, this is the month to do my christmas cake and make a huge effort to start my christmas cards which this year is odd as I usually make 10 a month starting January, but that didnt happen.
I also want to make a start on christmas presents.
We are also having a community day in Nairn and we have been given a table to show what we do at the craft club and also sell some items. thats the 21st November.
So all in all a busy month.

This is a card I did for Heather, I stamped a self coloured flower onto printed card the same colours and it worked very well

I would also like to wish my friends, Melissa, Jackie,Morag and Brenda luck with their new venture on saturday, they are opening their own CRAFT SHOP in CARLISLE Arch 6 Viaduct estate road. The grand opening in this saturday where they are having allsorts of goodies, and freebies. If your close to that area please make a visit as they know their craft stuff.

I was going to a housewarming party last night and realised I hadnt made a card so I had seen this done by one of the ladies that come to our craft club so although I have to work on the measurements for a 1st attempt im quite happy they were very impressed.

I made this card for a dear friend who has just had an operation, Its 3 layer decoupage and I used the easiscore board for the wavey line. cut out tags free hand and I love to add corners.

Well I have been doing another wedding card and once again I chose a bookatrix, I do like doing them they always come out just the way you want them, I have scanned this one in to see if it gives a better picture than the camera. MMMmmmmmm not sure the jury is out on that one.
I have chosen cream and gold as i dont know the colours of the wedding with coral h20s to highlight the flowers. there is detail on each page a verse, hearts, wedding rings, 2 roses, and whats on the front. The ribbon I got from a friend in a swap which is gorgous and sets the card off just right.

Well heres my finished parchment card, i have to say I am delighted with it and hope my friend it to. she will be getting it tomorrow.
I printed off the happy birthday wishes and her name on the computer and used the silver tinta ink and traced it then whenthat was dried i embossed it from the back and used brads to attach them.

Well I have been a wee bit busy playing in the craft room, Im not sleeping great as usual so spending my nights quietly crafting, so the noisy things like heat embossing has to wait for the morning.
Today has also been a stressfull day as someone decided to drive into the side of my car, she pulled out as I was going past her, she didnt see my big volvo!!!!uuuuuuggggggggg!!!!!
One of the girls at works birthday is tomorrow so I did a quick decoupage card as wehadan indian carryout at lunch time as she was at work manning the phones. its linen effect orange and cream card, and I used a fiskars border punch, i love the quick ones.

This is a parchment card I have been working on for the last week , I decied to go for something challenging and have learnt alot through doing it. There is alot of work in it. I have still to finish the card and will post the end product this week coming.
This is a Bookatrix card for a wedding its ruby/burgandy/cream and gold. I know these are the colours for the wedding, each page has either a verse or a peeloff with some romantic theme. it has worked out well i think.
I also made the box for it the top has the same ruby bow on it.

I have entered this bookatrix to the colour create challenge 26 ruby cream & gold.

Well this is the card I decided to make for a lovely lady that comes to the craft club, she does parchment so I thought I would shock her by trying it.it is grid number 2, so I took it on holiday with me and sat in the hotel livingroom embossing and pricking all evening whilst chatting to some people from cumbria we were staying at the Overscaig hotel up the west coast what a beautiful hotel and the food was fab. Anyway this is what I came up with after deciding what shape I wanted and where what went I am happy with it as another out of my comfort zone card. She was delighted with it. the daisies were embossed and shaded .

Well I managed to down load, this card was one hubby asked for and he needed it in the post then, you know the kind can you make me a card but i want it now, anyway I managed it and I painted the flowers with H20s which I love as they dry so quickly.

Well I bought parchment goodies from a friend and decided to have a play here is my attempt at white work, shading the frame is a seperate sheet and the first time have used the scissors to do cutting, by no means perfect but im having a go.
I am well delighted with my card, I added the corners as I used 3d dots and sillicone to stick down and found out no thats not what you use. oh well will find out what your meant to use.

Hi folks, oh well I havent had a chance to do much crafting at all lately with th church summer club on last week which is a full time job but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nairn as a whole took ownership of the summer club this year and we did a grand job. It was Fab. you can have a look on the link http://ipcscotland.blogspot.com you can see what we have been up to.
In the afternoon then we have a craft session for the older kids and some join in the sports afternoon. this is the watch we made I love it, it is made from safety pins just beautiful and it goes with everything. mine is multi coloured, Deas is orange and gold.
Sorry about the photo its not a good one but camera not very good just now.

I will get back into crafting jus had so much to do, we had to get fencing to do the back garden as our new neighbours took the lylandau 10ft trees down so busy in the garden now.

Hi folks well what a busy time I've been having.......................I really have been enjoying myself in one way but in another its been sad. My friends mum died which was sudden and a shock, this obviously meant my friend would have to come back from Australia which yes she and her hubby did. I went over to visit on the Tuesday night before the funeral we cried and laughed as you do because of stories told. The funeral went very well with my friends dad taking the reins at the church as he is the officer so it was hoovered and he new it was going to be big so he put put extra chairs, he did a wonderful job just th way his wife would have wanted, the service was lovely just like her.
Thursday I had lunch with my oz friend and another and we chatted and caught up with news of the kids and so on. Thursday night had other visitors.
The kids are loving it as am I.

I will get back into the challenges but it has been hectic

Well folks I was off work today and dont go back til tuesday how good is that, my friend was going shopping for an outfit for a wedding TOMORROW nothing like leaving it til the last minute, I went with her we eventually found a dress she liked and suited, hope her hubby likes it.
I also got a top for a night out next week a 60th im going to. should be a good night.
This last two week have been hectic, and I see no let up next week either so if I am neglecting the blog there is a reason.
This weekend I have got a couple of orders to do first is a silver wedding book a friend wants for her to give as a gift. the second is another 100 sympathy cards for the local pet crematorium. so that is tomorrow taken care of and the rest of the week.
I havent joined anymore challenges but i will once life slows down a bit.

Well folks it has been a very busy few days, with mixed emotions, My second sone 21 years old moved out today to live with his girlfriend. they have rented a flat and are so excited about it I couldn't be sad about it. So with my poor son having to work in Ullapool this week he couldn't go to find a sofa for the flat as its unfurnished so I took his girlfriend shopping what a laugh we had, we found 2 x 2 seater sofa and matching chair cheap as chips so its delivered on friday. Then we went off and got bits and bobs for them. She really enjoyed herself and so did I.
As you have guessed we get on very well.

Crafting has been totally out of the window but will catch up tomorrow.

Hi folks sorry have slipped off this this last week work has been so very busy and hot so coming home I have done nothing. so last weekend I went along to Inverness for the Luis Palau festival, he is along the same lines as Billy Grahams preaching he was so good I really listened to him, there were also live rock bands which were fab my daughter Dea and her friends danced, jumped and sang our hearts out. it was a great day. We got there just after 1pm and got home 9.30pm and considering I was suppose to be home at teatime it was just too good to leave.

Morning folks, I have just got up as I went to bed with a horrid migraine last night after our craft club. I couldnt focus on anythng let alone the road home.

Thankyou for all the comments I have passed them onto my mum who did her frst bt of craftn g last night after her cattaract operation. Shes waiting for the other eye to get done now so hopefully shortly she wll be back craftng all the time again.
Today has turned out wet which means the housework wil get done as m having to have the day off for a certain window company to come and sort out the doors again.

This was very sad news we had today, she was a lovely lady full of joy and laughter, she also crafted and talked us into opening our craft club in Nairn. although I havent seen her for 24 years we kept in contact.

Well Im working this morning but im also getting a reprieve from dog walking so I have time for a wee blog.

It was mum and dads golden wedding on d-day saturday, so I made them a bind it all book with photos of them and family. i was really happy with it that will be posted later.

The weekend went fast as usual we haven't done much just a lazy weekend which was lovely. The weather has been cold and wet but hey can't be ths tanned for ever.

Good morning ladies, what a strange morning not logging into my favourite forum, seems so very sad that it hase finished but life goes on and we will get going with the blogs instead.

Today seems to be another glorious day but can my body really cope with more sun. Brin is sitting at the back door waiting for his long walk along the beach which is lovely and my neices will be with us today as the teachers are in for training today.
The house is slowly becoming a tip again but only because Im up to date with the washing but theres no place to put it all.

This card was done by a lady who comes to the craft club and she has done it beautifully, using peeloffs, metallic pallete paints, parchment paper and mulberry paper and a stamp. its definately got the WOW factor.

This is mums birthday card, I had fun last night doing this card, I have used peeloff butterflies and dotted them down the edge of the card its an A5 card with a third cut of the front. I coloured the butterflies in with H20s and stuck 3 onto parchment and painted these too, once dried using silicone I attached them on top of 3 down the side. I had a bigger one did exactly the same and stick it to the front, stamped happy birthday and mum. I used the paper brads onto the corners, This is the first time I have used these and they look lovely. you get these from craftwork crafts

This is what we call the "rockies" alot of this end of the beach is full of rocks and pools where you can see the crabs and other sea critters. the dogs love this as the pools are quite warm.

Oh my word where did this month go to, it has been a very strange month indeed, I gave up my job and im a lady of leisure, haha I wish! I am keeping my eye open for the right job, something i will be appy doing I always thought that would be working in a craft shop how wrong was I, It takes away the fun from your crafting, you spend more money than you make and your left with way too much crafting equipment and no time to do any of it. Anyway enough of that.

Hi, well after our new arrival on thursday, I thought I better send you all a photo of him, his name is Brin and my daughter just loves him, he is 10 years old and due to friends moving abroad we have taken him to live with us. He is pining a bit for his owners by howling but then he's not used to a street hes used to the country. He is very cuddly, just a bear.

Hoping it will make hubby and I do some more walking so we got out tonight together which was lovely.

Hi folks, well what a gorgous day, I went for a long walk this morning to clear my head and it worked, I went with my mum and we walked along the river up to the garden centre then along a country lane to home it was so warm i had my jacket off. This is our 25th Anniversary last year, we had a great party, where my hubby surprised me and got down on one knee and proposed all over again.
